Pakistan, Dec. 31 -- A severe cold wave swept across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday following intermittent rain in plain areas and snowfall in upper regions. Temperatures dropped sharply, particularly in northern and hilly districts, as winter conditions intensified.

In Chitral, a noticeable fall in temperature was recorded across the region. Around four inches of snow accumulated on the Lowari Tunnel Road, which links Chitral with the rest of the country, though traffic flow remained largely unaffected.
