Pakistan, July 14 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has ordered emergency measures in response to rising flood threats in the Koh-e-Suleman region. She directed the administration in Dera Ghazi Khan and other concerned departments to stay on high alert and ensure swift action as heavy rains continue to disrupt life in the area.

The chief minister instructed authorities to begin immediate drainage of rainwater in Rajanpur and nearby areas. She also ordered relief operations to start without delay in flood-affected regions of Taunsa and called for quick dewatering in all low-lying localities.
