Pakistan, July 20 -- CHAKWAL - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited flood-hit areas of Chakwal on Saturday to meet affected families and oversee relief operations following recent cloudbursts and heavy monsoon rains.

While meeting the victims, she announced a compensation of Rs1 million for each family that suffered losses in the calamity. She assured them that the government would provide full support during recovery efforts.

Later, the Chief Minister chaired a high-level meeting at the Deputy Commissioner's Office, where she ordered immediate restoration of damaged bridges and roads to reconnect isolated communities quickly.
