Pakistan, June 29 -- A prestigious ceremony was held at the Central Police Office (CPO) here on Saturday to mark the badge-pinning of police officers promoted to the ranks of additional inspector general (Addl. IG) and deputy inspector general (DIG). Chief Secretary Punjab Mr. Zahid Akhtar Zaman graced the event as the chief guest while Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar was also present on the occasion.
Upon arrival at the CPO, the Chief Secretary paid tribute to the martyrs at the Police Shuhada Monument by offering Fateha and laying a floral wreath. A smartly turned-out police contingent presented him with a guard of honor.
