Pakistan, June 23 -- The Shandur Polo Festival 2025 ended on a high note Sunday as Chitral triumphed over Gilgit with a 9-7 win in a thrilling final at the world's highest polo ground.
The match was played before thousands of spectators at Shandur Pass, famously known as the "roof of the world," located 12,000 feet above sea level. The event drew massive crowds, including local fans and international tourists.
Gilgit's 'A' team showed significant improvement this year, giving Chitral tough competition. However, Chitral played a strong defensive game and successfully held their lead to seal the victory.
