Pakistan, June 6 -- Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, on Thursday held an important meeting today with a delegation comprising senior officials from various cement manufacturing companies.
The meeting focused on challenges faced by the cement industry, potential solutions, and strategies for promoting industrial growth in the province.
During the discussions, both sides agreed to increase the royalty on cement from Rs. 250 per ton to Rs. 350 per ton. Additionally, a phased increase in royalty rates was decided, with a 10% annual rise for the first two years, followed by a 7.5% annual increase for the subsequent three years.
