Pakistan, July 10 -- Pakistan's leading textile and carpet exporters have sounded the alarm over skyrocketing energy costs and the possible imposition of new US tariffs, saying these challenges are pushing their industries toward a crisis.

In a meeting held at the Ministry of Commerce, officials from the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) and the Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association met with Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, the Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce.
