Pakistan, Dec. 22 -- A coach bus overturned on a highway in Indonesia early Monday, killing at least 16 people. The bus was traveling from Jakarta to Yogyakarta when it hit a barrier at high speed. Rescue workers evacuated 34 passengers, while several were taken to Semarang for treatment.
Local rescue agency head Budiono said 15 victims died at the scene and one more died in hospital. Authorities described the accident as serious, with the bus lying on its side after the collision. Footage showed rescuers moving victims into body bags at the site.
