Most of Punjab and Sindh's farmlands are under water. The recent floods in Punjab have destroyed vast tracts of crops and left millions of people struggling for survival. The Pakistan Business Forum (PBF) has warned that nearly 60 per cent of the rice crop, 35 per cent of cotton, and 30 per cent of sugarcane are already lost in central and southern Punjab.

Behind these statistics stand farmers and their families; people who toil from dawn to dusk, now watching their livelihoods drown. More than 1.8 million people across the Chenab, Ravi, and Sutlej river basins are already suffering.
