Pakistan, July 21 -- Ideally, the meeting between Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his Afghan counterpart in Kabul should have been a step toward genuine cooperation. Yet, history has shown that such attempts at reconciliation often end in failure. Despite Islamabad's best diplomatic efforts, Afghanistan's continued inability to address cross-border terrorism remains a persistent security crisis for Pakistan. The Taliban-controlled government in Kabul has consistently failed to take meaningful action against militant groups like the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which use Afghan soil to launch attacks against Pakistan's border regions, resulting in hundreds of casualties each year.
