Pakistan, July 28 -- Pakistan is facing a growing crisis as thousands of skilled professionals continue to leave the country. According to a report by the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), Pakistan ranks sixth globally for human capital migration. Between 2022 and 2023, emigration of highly qualified professionals jumped by 26.6% due to economic troubles and limited job prospects at home.
Although remittances hit $38.5 billion in 2024-25, they cannot replace the value of losing skilled talent.
