Pakistan, July 21 -- In a major legal reversal, the Bombay High Court on Monday acquitted 12 men who were previously convicted for their role in the deadly 2006 Mumbai train bombings. These blasts, which targeted crowded evening trains on July 11, 2006, killed 187 people and injured over 800, leaving the city in shock. The accused were convicted in 2015, with five sentenced to death and seven handed life imprisonment. However, after nearly a decade, the High Court ruled there was not enough evidence to prove their guilt.
