Pakistan, Jan. 19 -- A deadly blast struck the Shahr-e-Naw area of Kabul on Monday, killing and injuring several people, the Taliban interior ministry confirmed, while authorities work to assess the full scale of the incident.
Interior Ministry spokesperson Abdul Mateen Qani said that preliminary reports indicate multiple casualties, adding that further details will be released once officials complete investigations at the scene of the explosion.
Shahr-e-Naw is considered one of Kabul's most secure districts and is home to foreign nationals, making the blast particularly alarming for residents, international staff, and diplomatic missions in the area.
