Pakistan, Aug. 6 -- EA has revealed major updates for Battlefield 6, introducing a new cross-play system designed to offer fair and balanced gameplay for all players. The game will launch on October 10, 2025, with a "preferred input" matchmaking feature to match players based on their devices.

This new system groups controller users together and also matches PC players using mouse and keyboard separately. Producer Alexia Christofi said this method will reduce unfair advantages caused by different input types. Cross-play between consoles and PC will only happen when needed to fill game lobbies.
