Pakistan, April 14 -- In a unique twist on crime-fighting, London police donned Batman and Robin costumes to tackle illegal gambling on Westminster Bridge. Officers, including Inspector Darren Watson and Constable Abdi Osman, recognized they needed a new approach. Their goal was to catch repeat offenders who had grown familiar with their regular patrols.
The undercover operation was a success. Officers arrested Eugen Stocia, 32, and Constica-Gherorghe Barbu, 53, for running illegal gambling activities. They used tricks like the "three cups challenge" to deceive unsuspecting tourists. Barbu quickly faced justice, being fined £925 just two days after the arrest.
However, Stocia failed to appear for his court hearing and was convicted...
