Pakistan, June 30 -- ISLAMABAD - The State Bank of Pakistan has announced that all banks across the country will observe a Bank Holiday on July 1, 2025. However, this will not be a public holiday, officials confirmed.
According to an official statement, the closure is due to the end of the financial year, and banks will be busy closing their annual accounts. While banks and financial institutions will remain closed to the public, staff members are still required to report to work as usual.
The circular clarified that this holiday is meant exclusively for internal bank operations, such as ledger balancing and account audits. Regular business operations, private offices, and commercial activities will continue as normal throughout the day...
