Pakistan, Jan. 23 -- The State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) on Thursday announced that it is set to finalise its investment in Pakistan's oil and gas sector during February.

The announcement was made by Rovshan Najaf, President of SOCAR, during his engagement with the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, read a statement released by the Finance Division.

Najaf stated that SOCAR views Pakistan as a natural long-term energy partner, citing the country's market depth, growing energy demand, and ongoing reform momentum in the oil and gas sector.
