Pakistan, Aug. 10 -- The capsule separated from the ISS on Friday before beginning its fiery reentry, heating up to about 1,925 degrees Celsius. As it neared Earth, large parachutes deployed to slow its descent from 28,100 kilometers per hour to just above 25 kilometers per hour. After splashdown, a SpaceX recovery ship retrieved the capsule and lifted it aboard, finally allowing the astronauts to breathe fresh Earth air for the first time in months.
