Pakistan, July 6 -- Ashura, the 10th of Muharram, is being observed across Pakistan with deep religious devotion to commemorate the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions in Karbala. Mourning processions, majalis, and rituals are taking place in cities and towns nationwide, as people pay tribute to the unmatched sacrifices made for truth and justice.
In Lahore, the main Ashura procession began from Nisar Haveli and is following its traditional route toward Imambargah Karbala Gamay Shah. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Nisar Haveli earlier to inspect security arrangements and ensure the safety of all participants. Thousands of mourners, including women and children, are part of the peaceful procession.
