Pakistan, June 12 -- Famous writer and humorist Anwar Maqsood said men also lack basic rights in Pakistan. He questioned how women's rights can be ensured when men still struggle to get theirs. He shared his views during a recent interview with actor Gohar Rasheed.

Anwar Maqsood explained that mothers raise children with manners and values, even though fathers are seen as responsible for upbringing. He added that fathers mostly provide for the family's expenses, but emotional growth comes from mothers.

He strongly stated that men deserve freedom to speak, write, and choose their work. He claimed he has raised this issue for 70 years. According to him, men in Pakistan often feel ignored and lack basic personal freedom in many areas.
