Pakistan, July 5 -- Ali Nawaz, a proud son of Hyderabad and serving constable in Islamabad Police, has made history by clinching a silver medal in the 86kg cruiserweight category at the World Police and Fire Games 2025, in Birmingham Alabama, the USA.
In a thrilling final bout on Friday, Ali Nawaz narrowly lost to his Australian opponent in a split decision, falling short by just one point.
Talking to APP on phone from the USA, the talented boxer expressed both pride and gratitude. "Alhamdulillah, history has been made," said an elated Ali.
