Pakistan, June 1 -- Lahore Arts Council, under its Alhamra Film Club initiative, screened the critically acclaimed 1959 classic "Jago Hua Sawera" at Alhamra Arts Center, the Mall.
The film, directed by A.J. Kardar, produced by Luqman Taasir, and penned by the celebrated poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz, was met with great admiration from attendees for its profound narrative and historical value.
Set in Dhaka, the film unfolds the poignant lives of fishermen striving for dignity and survival. The cast-Mitra, Anees, Zareen, Shams Anhaar, Qazi Khaleeq, and others-delivered unforgettable performances that brought to life the struggles of a marginalized community.
