The Joint Public Action Committee of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, continuing the May 2025 protest series, had once again called for a strike on September 29, 2025.

In the May 2025 protest, the Joint Public Action Committee put pressure on the government, which resulted in the announcement of flour and electricity subsidies and other relief packages.
