Pakistan, Jan. 16 -- Afghanistan's cricket team has suffered a major setback as fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq is ruled out of the T20 World Cup. He will also miss next week's three-match T20 series against the West Indies. The Afghanistan Cricket Board confirmed that Naveen-ul-Haq will undergo surgery at the end of January.

The board has not yet named a permanent replacement for him. However, reserve players for the World Cup include spinner A M Ghazanfar, all-rounder Ijaz Ahmadzai, and fast bowler Zia-ur-Rehman Sharifi. Officials are monitoring the situation closely to ensure the team remains competitive in the upcoming tournament.
