The Punjab government announced on Monday that Assistant Commissioner (AC) Pattoki, Furqan Ahmed Khan, will be awarded a top civil award posthumously for his brave service during flood relief operations.
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif also approved a financial grant of PKR 10 million for the family of the late officer, recognizing his selfless dedication and sacrifice while serving the people.
Despite battling cancer, AC Furqan had been on continuous duty for four days in flood-affected areas of Pattoki, working tirelessly to provide aid and essential supplies to stranded residents.
