An earthquake was felt in several areas of Punjab, including Multan, according to initial reports received by the Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) from all districts of the province. The earthquake was recorded at a magnitude of 4.8 on the Richter scale. Its epicenter was noted 126 kilometers west of Multan at a depth of 55 kilometers, according to the PDMA spokesperson. DG PDMA said administrative teams across Punjab are inspecting buildings following the tremors. PDMA's Provincial Control Room and all District Emergency Operation Centers are on 24/7 alert, he added.
