Security forces killed 17 militants during a major operation in Dera Ismail Khan's remote Dreshak area of Balochistan. The operation targeted members of the outlawed Mullah Nazir Group, which had reportedly gathered in the region. Security officials said the operation was based on intelligence reports about the group's presence.
Pakistan Army, Special Services Group, and CTD jointly carried out the two-day operation. The action took place in one of the most rugged and hard-to-access areas of Dreshak. Officials said over 10 militants were also wounded during the firefight, while no casualties were reported among security personnel.
