LAHORE, July 15 -- Pakistan Railways has taken a significant step toward modernization by deciding to privatize 11 passenger trains. This initiative aims to enhance travel comfort, improve service quality, and boost revenue generation, said a spokesperson for Pakistan Railways on Tuesday.

Among the trains selected for privatization are some of the most frequently used and important routes, including Hazara Express, Bahawalpur Zakaria Express, Millat Express, Rawal Express, Badar Express, Ghori Express, Ravi Express, Thal Express, Faiz Ahmed Faiz Express, and the Mohenjo Daro Passenger train.

The privatization plan is part of broader reforms to address operational inefficiencies and financial losses in the state-owned rail system. Offici...
