Dar es Salaam, April 28 -- ZANZIBAR: ZANZIBAR Second Vice President, Mr Hemedi Suleiman Abdulla has called on Tanzanians from both the Mainland and Zanzibar to pray for and support state leaders in their efforts to strengthen the Union between Tanganyika and Zanzibar.
Speaking during the celebrations marking the 61st anniversary of the Union, Mr Abdulla urged retired government leaders, elders and individuals with knowledge of the Union to educate young people about the significance of the Union and its impact on their lives.
“I urge the people of both Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar to pray for and support our state leaders to ensure continued efforts in fostering the Union,” he said.
