Dar es Salaam, Feb. 11 -- ZANZIBAR: ORGANISERS of the Zanzi Half Marathon have appealed to companies, institutions and individual sports enthusiasts to come forward and support this years edition of the marathon race.

The annual event, organised by the Zanzibar-based running club Kimbia Bila Shaka, attracts participants from various countries, along with local runners. This years race is set to take place on June 28 in Zanzibar.

The event features a 21- km half marathon, 10-km and 5-km races, as well as a 5-km walking category.

Speaking to the ‘Daily News from Zanzibar over the weekend, Laura Bjørn, club founder and race coordinator, confirmed that preparations are well underway.
