ZANZIBAR, Feb. 13 -- ZANZIBAR youth have been encouraged to take advantage of employment opportunities created through Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects.

Minister for Labour and Investment, Mr Sharif Ali Sharif, noted that awareness among young people about the benefits of PPP initiatives remains low.

He was responding to a question from Ms Fatma Ramadhan Mohamed (Womens Special Seats) regarding the advantages of PPP projects.

The minister explained that, under PPP arrangements, the government provides investors implementing development projects with incentives such as tax exemptions or temporary tax reductions to encourage investment and improve public service delivery.
