ZANZIBAR, Jan. 6 -- YOUNG Africans Head Coach Pedro Gonçalves said the club plans to sign a striker during the January transfer window to strengthen its attacking options as the season enters a demanding phase.
The Portuguese coach was speaking on Tuesday night after Young Africans recorded a 3–0 win over KVZ in the ongoing Mapinduzi Cup at the New Amaan Complex Stadium in Zanzibar.
Gonçalves said the tournament is providing a valuable opportunity to assess his squad, particularly with leading striker Clement Mzize still recovering from injury.
