Dar es Salaam, April 26 -- ZANZIBAR: YOUNG Africans will face Zanzibars KVZ FC today in the quarter-finals of the Union Super League at Gombani Stadium in Pemba, Zanzibar.
The winner of the match will advance to face Zimamoto FC, who secured their place in the semi-finals yesterday by defeating Coastal Union 1-0, thanks to a 28th-minute goal from Rashid Salum.
Yanga, returning to the tournament after more than 20 years without winning the trophy, has a rich history, having won the title six times in 1983, 1987, 1991, 1996, 1997 and 2000.
They have arrived with a full-strength squad, including key midfielder Pacome Zouzoua, who missed a Premier League match due to an injury sustained in a clash against Azam FC.
