DODOMA, Nov. 6 -- WORLD leaders have congratulated President Samia Suluhu Hassan on her inauguration for a second term in office, pledging to strengthen and deepen cooperation with Tanzania over the next five years of her leadership.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared President Samia the winner of Tanzanias 2025 general election on Saturday, after she secured 97.66 per cent of the vote.

Her victory prompted messages of goodwill and support from global and regional leaders, who commended her continued leadership and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties with Tanzania.
