ARUSHA, Jan. 6 -- THE Minister for Finance, Khamis Omar, has commended the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) for its high level of efficiency in the collection of government revenue, a performance that has contributed significantly to economic growth and the implementation of national development projects.

Speaking at the opening of the TRA Mid-Year Performance Review Meeting for the 2025/26 Financial Year, held at the Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC), Ambassador Khamis stated that TRA collected 18.77tri/- between July and December 2025, equivalent to 103.7 percent of the targeted 18.10 tri/-.
