DAR ES SALAAM, June 4 -- DESPITE significant advancements in nuclear science and technology, womens participation in the field remains low, primarily due to challenges such as the limited number of girls pursuing science subjects, societal perceptions, and a lack of role models.
This was stated today in Dar es Salaam by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Professor Carolyne Nombo, during the official launch of the Women in Nuclear Tanzania (WiNTz) association, which aims to increase the involvement of women in the nuclear sector across the country.
