DAR ES SALAAM, July 4 -- A LOCALLY engineered three-wheeler (bajaji) running on both water and fuel is turning heads at the 49th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), offering a low-cost, high-impact transport solution all made in Tanzania.

Developed by Andrew Mmbanga in collaboration with engineers from the University of Dar es Salaams College of Engineering and Technology (CoET), the innovation is praised for its potential to reduce fuel consumption without compromising performance.

Designed for simplicity and affordability, the threewheeler addresses the needs of Tanzanian drivers facing rising fuel costs and maintenance challenges.
