NJOMBE, Sept. 17 -- THE Vice Chairman of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Mainland, Stephen Wasira, said the decision to nominate the CCM Presidential candidate, Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, is due to her exceptional ability demonstrated in successfully leading the country over the past four and a half years.

He made the statement when speaking to members of the party in Njombe Region, noting that she has earned the position and it is not given to her as a gift.

Elaborating, Mr Wasira noted that, despite Dr Samia taking over the country under challenging circumstances, she has skillfully managed to lead and bring about significant development during her tenure.
