Dar es Salaam, Feb. 20 -- SIMIYU: SIXTEEN life-threatening hyenas have been killed so far in a special operation that began in the Simiyu region on January 25 this year.
According to the sources, the operation aims to protect the residents in areas where the animals reportedly attacked the residents.
Simiyu Regional Commissioner, Kenani Kihongosi, shared this information during a press briefing about the success of the operation, which was jointly carried out by the Tanzania Wildlife Management Authority (TAWA), the Tanzania Forest Service (TFS), and the Police Force.
