DAR ES SALAAM, Jan. 9 -- THE Second Vice President of Zanzibar, Hemed Suleiman Abdulla, is expected to be the chief guest at the launch of the worlds largest Quran competition organized by the Alhikma Foundation.

The competition, which will take place in 2026, will mark its 26th edition since its inception and will feature participants from various countries around the world.

Speaking today, January 9, 2026, in Dar es Salaam, the Chairman of Alhikma Foundation, Sheikh Nurdeen Kishki, said that preparations for the competition are 90 percent complete.
