DAR ES SALAAM, Jan. 13 -- THE Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) closed the week with market activity showing a slight dip in activity compared to the previous trading week. Total turnover for the week decreased to 20.4bn/- from 26.6bn/-, representing a 27.37 per cent decrease.

CRDB Bank emerged as the dominant player, contributing 70.39 per cent of the total market turnover. Chasing behind was KCB Bank, which accounted for 7.15 per cent, NMB contributed 6.14 per cent of the total turnover. On the price movement front, MKCB stood out as the weeks top gainer.
