DODOMA, Aug. 2 -- THE National General Meeting of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Youth Wing—UVCCM—concluded successfully in Dodoma, marked by peaceful and orderly opinion polls to elect youth representatives for various Special Seats.
In the Tanzania Mainland category, 31 contestants battled for four Special Seats in the Parliament.
Announcing the results, CCMs Central Committee Member and election supervisor, Mr. Mohamed Aboud Mohamed, said a total of 2,466 votes were cast, with 12 votes spoiled, resulting in 2,454 valid votes.
Leading the polls was Ngwasi Kamani, who garnered 409 votes, followed by Jesca Magufuli with 391 votes.
