MTWARA, July 1 -- THE Acting Ambassador of the United States of America to Tanzania, Mr. Andrew Lentz, has begun a working visit to the Mtwara Region, where he met with regional government officials and visited the Mtwara Port to observe ongoing developments and economic opportunities in the area.

During his discussions with the Mtwara Regional Commissioner, Colonel Patrick Sawala, Ambassador Lentz expressed the U.S.A. governments interest in Tanzanias efforts to improve its investment climate.
