DAR ES SALAAM, Jan. 8 -- TANZANIA registered 927 investment projects valued at 11.09 billion US dollars (about 27.5tri/-) in 2025, creating nearly 163,000 jobs, with manufacturing emerging as the leading sector, data from the Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) showed.
The figures highlight sustained momentum in Africas fourth-most populous country as it pursues industrialisation, infrastructure development and broader economic diversification. Manufacturing accounted for 417 projects, about 45 per cent of the total, attracting 4.6 billion US dollars (about 11.4tri/- ) in capital and generating 61,983 jobs, the largest share by both value and employment.
