Dar es Salaam, March 7 -- DAR ES SALAAM: THE minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo has praised the enduring diplomatic relations between Tanzania and Japan, which have flourished for 64 years.

He made the remarks on Wednesday evening during a reception marking the 65th birthday of His Majesty Emperor Naruhito of Japan, held at the residence of Japans Ambassador-Designate to Tanzania in Dar es Salaam.

In his speech, Amb Kombo noted Japans support to Tanzania, particularly through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), which has been assisting the country since 1962.
