GEITA, July 5 -- POLICE in Geita Region have arrested two residents for allegedly beating and killing a young man, Enock Mhangwa (25).

The suspects in police custody include Ferdinand Antony, the Village Executive Officer of Liyobahika, popularly known as Masembo in Bukombe District, and a resident identified as Hussein Ally, also known as Madebe.

According to a statement released by the Tanzania Police Force Headquarters in Dodoma, police in Geita Region are still searching for the Uyovu Village Executive Officer whose name was not immediately established and two village militia officers.

He said the three suspects escaped after attacking and killing the victim.
