MOROCCO, July 4 -- TWIGA Stars Captain Opa Clement expressed high morale within the team as they prepare for their opening match against Mali on Monday.
The prestigious competition, which kicks off tomorrow in Morocco, features 12 nations battling for the coveted continental title.
With prize money raised significantly — $600,000 for the champions, $400,000 for the runners-up and $350,000 for third place — the stakes have never been higher.
For Tanzania, it marks their second appearance at WAFCON, having first featured in 2010.
