TUNDUMA, Nov. 18 -- OVER 62bn/-has been collected by the Tunduma Border Customs in Songwe Region during the first quarter of the 2025/26 financial year, achieving 120 percent performance compared to the target of 52.6bn/-.
According to Nsajigwa Mwambegele, the Assistant Regional Customs Manager, this collection trend shows strong progress toward meeting the overall revenue target of 212bn/- set for the 2025/26 financial year.
Speaking to the media outlets, Mwambegele noted that in the 2024/25 financial year, the same station also recorded significant success by collecting 204bn/-, equivalent to 119 percent performance of the projected 182bn/-.
