ZANZIBAR, Jan. 23 -- President Samia Suluhu Hassan is expected to lead a tree-planting exercise scheduled to take place on January 27, 2026, in the Bungi Kilimo and Kizimkazi areas of Zanzibar, as part of the celebrations marking her birthday.

The information was released today, January 22, 2025, stating that the exercise aims to advance the national agenda on environmental conservation and protection. The agenda includes tree planting, protection of water sources, strengthening natural vegetation, and contributing practically to efforts to address the impacts of climate change.
