Dar es Salaam, March 22 -- DAR ES SALAAM: The Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC) has set a target to transport six million passengers in the 2025/2026 financial year. So far, the corporation has already transported 2.1 million passengers.

TRCs Director General, Masanja Kadogosa, made this announcement while speaking at a meeting of the Railway Workers and Related Activities Union (RAWUTA).

Kadogosa stated that in 2025/2026, TRC aims to transport 10 percent of the Tanzanian population, which is equivalent to six million people.

“As of yesterday, we had transported 2.1 million passengers. We are making good progress, and once all infrastructure is completed, we will be able to transport even more passengers,” said Kadogosa....
